Ben grew up in Minnetonka, MN, where he attended Hopkins High School. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2011 with a double major in Accounting and Real Estate, and returned to Minneapolis immediately after college where he spent more than 5 years working at Target Corporation in various consulting and analytics roles. In the winter of 2015, he was approached by his brother-in-law and now business partner Steve Loraus, who asked him to consider becoming an full-time insurance producer. It only took a few months of working alongside Steve for him to realize a career change and departure from Target was the right thing for his future.

Ben currently lives in Minnetrista with his wife, Jessica, whom he started dating in high school. His many hobbies include ultimate frisbee, bass fishing, hunting, bowling, basketball, football, and golfing. He is an avid Minnesota sports fan, with his deep Wisconsin Badgers pride being the lone exception. Ben is also part owner and general manager of the Wind Chill, Minnesota’s first and only professional Ultimate Disc team participating in the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL).
